So, I want to see how many people will pay attention to this little... Contest, I should say. I got this idea around the last day of school, and I thought it was really sweet. So, let's try it!
Objection - Write a poem. The title needs to be "If I Could Grant a Wish for You" and has to have this main style: two line groups, each needs to start with 'May,' and the lines have to rhyme. There has to be a MINIMUM of 8 lines, which means you only need to write 4 two-line groups.
Example -
May you find a best friend
May your happiness never endRules - No copying others' work, but if you need to, you may copy the sample line. However, if too many people copy it, you won't be able to.
Entry - Link back here with your submission, and if you want to you can have a link to the journal in your info.
Starts - Today, June 29.
Ends - By August.
Winners - The prize is a medal listing your rank. A folder will be created for the entries, and once the contest ends they will be ranked from first to second, then third, and so on.
Ranking - You will be graded on many things, including sincerity. If it is evident that you didn't do your best, you won't win. Entries will either be graded by me alone, or by me and a friend. Don't worry, we're not very hard when it comes to grading...
